Nose Surgeries
Aesthetic Nose Surgeries
Rhinoplasty
Rhinoplasty is the aesthetic surgery of the nose that produces morphological changes in its size and angles to give it a new shape, better proportioned with the rest of the face.
It allows modifying the size and shape of the nose, either by:
- reducing it
- increasing it
- refining the tip or the bridge
- narrowing the nostrils
- adjusting the angle between the nose and the upper lip.
Ultrasonic Rhinoplasty
Ultrasonic rhinoplasty refers to surgery in which ultrasound—rather than a rasp and hammer—is used to treat the bony part of the nose. Ultrasound can only be used on hard tissues such as bone. This allows for a more precise result with less bleeding, since there is less trauma to the tissues.
Secondary Rhinoplasty
Secondary rhinoplasty refers to a rhinoplasty performed on a nose that has already been operated on. It includes the added complexity that the tissues have already been manipulated, which may mean finding issues such as excessive cartilage resection that must be replaced using autologous material from other areas of the body, such as the ear or rib.
Nose Surgeries: Before and After
These are some before-and-after cases of rhinoplasty. In these images, we can observe various examples of the results this surgery can achieve. However, every patient is unique, which is why we offer a free initial consultation with an expert surgeon.
Preservation Rhinoplasty
Preservation rhinoplasty focuses on treating the aesthetic part of the nose by working internally and leaving the upper part intact. In this way, essential structures of the nasal dorsum are preserved, resulting in a lighter postoperative recovery than with structural rhinoplasty. Preservation rhinoplasty is suitable only for specific cases, as determined by the surgeon.
Nasal Septum Reconstruction
The absence of the nasal septum is caused, in 99% of cases, by the use of narcotic substances which destroy the inside of the nose, necrosing the mucosa that protects the septum and thereby causing its disappearance. In more severe cases, total collapse of the nose may occur and even perforation of the palate, creating a communication between the nose and the mouth.
The nasal septum is reconstructed using tissue from other parts of the body, such as the inner lip mucosa or the forearm. This is always performed with microsurgery to recreate the structure separating the two nostrils.
Rhinomodelling
Rhinomodelling is the aesthetic alteration of the nose without surgery. Hyaluronic acid fillers are injected at specific points in the nose to soften curves, bumps, or drooping of the nasal tip. The limitations of this procedure are its durability—repeated treatment is needed because hyaluronic acid is resorbable—and the fact that it does not allow reducing the size of the nose; injecting hyaluronic acid always adds volume, even if it improves the shape. In other words, deformities can be corrected by adding volume in specific areas.

Our Specialists in Nose Surgery
The size, shape, and proper respiratory function of the nose are essential for facial harmony and overall well-being. Nasal deformities not only affect aesthetics, sometimes leading to significant complexes, but they can also compromise breathing. For these cases, we offer multiple types of nose surgeries to be applied according to the deformity to be corrected, the functional needs, and the aesthetic goals of each person.

Nose Surgeries to Improve Breathing
Septoplasty
Septoplasty is nasal surgery performed to improve respiratory function. Frequently, deformities of the nasal septum cause breathing difficulties; septoplasty allows us to correct these deformities and thereby improve breathing.
In some cases, correcting the nasal septum also produces an aesthetic improvement of the nose. In such cases, the procedure is called rhino-septoplasty.
