CONTRACT TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
Aesthetic medicine and clinical treatments (non-surgical treatments)
Patients have 15 calendar days from the date of purchase of the product or service to exercise the right of withdrawal.
There will be no charge for exercising this right and the patient will receive a full refund of the sum disbursed, provided no services associated with the contract have been rendered.
Should the patient seek to terminate the contract once the contracted treatment has begun (i.e. after the first sessions), CLÍNICA PLANAS reserves the right to deduct the cost of all completed sessions, calculated at the standard individual session price, from the price paid. In such a case, the patient will forfeit all benefits of any offer in respect of the package contemplated in the contract.
Should CLÍNICA PLANAS cancel without just cause, once the service has begun and the first sessions have concluded, the patient will be refunded the full amount contracted.
If the cancellation is for health reasons (medical contraindication), the patient will be reimbursed for the amount corresponding to the treatment not performed.
CLÍNICA PLANAS may terminate any contract in the event of breach of contract by the patient, in which regard the patient shall be entitled to no refund whatsoever. The following circumstances are construed as breaches of contract:
- Failure to pay for the service in full once treatment has commenced and the first sessions have been carried out.
- Repeatedly failing to attend appointments or sessions arranged with CLÍNICA PLANAS without prior cancellation.
- Disrespect towards CLÍNICA PLANAS staff before, during or after sessions.
Surgical procedures / Operating theatre surgeries
Successful surgical procedures heavily rely on an effective planning of our operating theatres.
For this reason, we ask for a deposit from prospective surgery patients to reserve and secure the date, availability of the surgeon and their team, space in the operating theatres, and the ideal time for the procedure to ensure the best possible quality.
A reservation implies the allocation of an operating theatre and the blocking of the surgeon's time for one patient, which means it cannot be used by another patient. However, we understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise that require a change in the date of surgery.
For this reason, we offer the option of:
- Change the date free of charge up to 5 working days before the scheduled surgery.
- In the event of cancellation of surgery without prior notice, the following penalties will apply:
- Cancellation more than 7 working days in advance
o Upon conclusion of the preoperative stage: €900
o Before the preoperative stage: €150 (administrative fees)
- Cancellation less than 7 working days prior to the procedure: the patient will be charged €1,500. This amount includes preoperative care and medical tests performed.
- Cancellation less than 4 working days prior to the procedure will entail a charge of €2,500. This amount includes preoperative care and medical tests performed.

What guarantees does the clinic offer if the results are not as expected?
Clínica Planas strives to make our name synonymous with trust, medical safety and quality treatments.
That is why all visits are conducted with a doctor. It is very important that you resolve any doubts you may have and that you discuss your realistic expectations for results together before beginning treatment.
For surgical procedures, Clínica Planas offers you support and security from the very first minute and for 18 months after the date of your surgery. If you and your surgeon agree that the results of your surgery could be improved, you can return to the operating theatre and have the final result enhanced. The clinic covers all expenses except compression garments, necessary medication, and anaesthesia services.
In addition, we are a multidisciplinary clinic and have all the necessary treatment units to improve or complement results: laser unit, facial aesthetic medicine, body aesthetic medicine, gynaecology, foot traumatology, hair medicine and surgery, nutrition and obesity, physiotherapy, vascular medicine and surgery, dental and maxillofacial aesthetics, dermatology, lipoedema and lymphoedema unit, etc.
What guarantees come with breast implants/breast prostheses?
For breast implant procedures, the clinic offers a service to assist with managing the implant warranty with the manufacturer.
Breast implant manufacturers' warranties cover Baker 3 or Baker 4 capsular contracture or implant rupture, and cover both the implant and the contralateral implant.
If you require a replacement for the reasons mentioned above, we will handle the paperwork so that you can focus on your recovery.
What should I do if there are complications after treatment or surgery?
Contact the clinic, either the surgeon or the patient care manager who has always looked after you.
How they handle emergencies or unexpected complications during or after surgery
Clínica Planas is the only plastic surgery centre in Barcelona that is open 24 hours a day, every day of the year. This means that if you have a problem or concern during the post-operative period, in addition to answering the telephone, a surgeon will be available to attend to you at any time at the clinic, both in the consultation room and, if necessary, in the operating theatre.
Furthermore, we are a multidisciplinary clinic and have all the necessary treatment units to improve or complement results in the same or different areas if desired: laser unit, facial aesthetic medicine, body unit, gynaecology, foot traumatology, hair, nutrition and obesity, physiotherapy, vascular, dental and maxillofacial, dermatology, digestive concerns, etc.
We are a multidisciplinary team and also take every step with you throughout your entire journey at the clinic.
There are insurance options or guarantees for the procedure.
We have the Planas guarantee. It is not necessary to contract it because it is included in all cosmetic surgeries.
