From a clinical perspective, treatments can be performed using exosomes of animal origin and even plant-derived exosomes; however, at Cl\u00ednica Planas we exclusively use autologous exosomes<\/strong> (obtained from the patient\u2019s own plasma). Within human-derived exosomes, there are two main types:<\/p>\n

      1. Autologous exosomes<\/strong>: these are obtained from the patient themselves. They are extracted from a blood sample, which is then processed to isolate and prepare the exosomes before application.<\/li>\n
      2. Allogeneic exosomes<\/strong>: these are derived from stem cells, such as those found in umbilical cord tissue. Currently, this type is neither approved nor available in our setting.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        What Does Exosome Therapy Involve?<\/h2>\n

        Exosome therapy is a regenerative medicine procedure based on the use of the patient’s own biological material. No commercial products or plant-derived exosomes are used, as they do not have the same effect on the regeneration of human tissues.<\/p>\n

        The process begins with a blood draw. The sample is then centrifuged to obtain plasma, in a manner similar to treatments using bioregenerative molecules. Using a specific processing system, autologous exosomes are generated from this plasma. The preparation of the exosomes typically takes around 30 minutes.<\/p>\n
