How to know your bra size<\/strong><\/p>\n

For many women, knowing their exact bra size can be tricky, but you only need to take two measurements: the bust circumference and the underbust circumference. Sometimes these measurements don’t correspond exactly to a single size and fall between two sizes, so it’s best to try both and choose the one that fits you best.<\/p>\n

The first thing to understand is that a bra size is made up of a number and a letter. The letter refers to the cup size and is calculated by measuring the bust circumference at nipple level. The higher the letter, the larger the cup size.
The number refers to the underbust measurement and is calculated by measuring around the body just below the bust. In both cases, it’s important that the measuring tape is straight and not too tight.<\/p>\n

By following these steps—ideally with the help of another person—you’ll be able to find your correct bra size and make the right choice when buying one.<\/p>\n

Differences between bra sizes in different countries<\/strong><\/p>\n

Another issue many women face when buying a bra is that sizing varies depending on the country where it was made. In Spain, we use the French sizing system (marked as ES\/FR), while some European countries use the US (USA) or European (EU) sizing systems. Usually, the equivalent sizes are indicated on the bra label. For this reason, it’s important to carefully check the sizing when choosing a bra, as you might select one thinking it’s your correct size without noticing whether it follows the French, European, or US sizing system.<\/p>\n

Bra sizing systems in different countries<\/strong><\/p>\n

As mentioned in the previous section, the bra sizing system varies from country to country.<\/p>\n

Spain – USA bra size equivalence
<\/strong>The US sizing system is used by many international bra brands. This system usually causes less confusion, as it follows numbers similar to clothing sizes: 34, 36, 38, 40, etc.
 For example, a size 90 in Spain is equivalent to a 34 in the US sizing system.
 It’s important to keep in mind that cup sizes may also differ, although—just like in Spain—they are indicated with letters.<\/p>\n

France – Spain bra size equivalence
<\/strong>France and Spain use the same bra sizing system, which is why you often see ES\/FR on bra labels to indicate both Spanish and French sizes.
In both countries, bra sizing consists of a letter indicating the cup size (A, B, C, D…) and a number indicating the band size (85, 90, 95, 100…).<\/p>\n

Europe – Spain bra size equivalence
<\/strong>This is the equivalence that tends to cause the most confusion.
Although European and Spanish sizing share the same cup size equivalence, the band size is different. Here’s an easy trick: Spanish\/French sizing is always 15 numbers higher.
So, if your size is 85 in Spain, it will be a 70 in European sizing. Simple, right? Now you won’t have any trouble choosing the right bra size.<\/p>\n

<\/strong>When choosing a good bra, one of the key measurements to avoid mistakes is the cup size.
It’s important to keep in mind that the bra must fully cover and support the breast. If you wear underwired bras, the wires should sit around the breast tissue without pressing into it.
To know the cup size you need, measure the bust circumference with a measuring tape at nipple height. If someone can help you, the measurement will be even more accurate.<\/p>\n

Not buying the correct size
<\/strong>Sometimes we rush when choosing a bra and forget that wearing the right one can enhance the bust, prevent back pain, and even slow down breast sagging over time.
That’s why choosing the correct bra size is important—it can help prevent future problems.<\/p>\n

Uncomfortable fastenings
<\/strong>Another common mistake when buying a bra is not paying attention to the type of fastening. Most bras have one or more hooks at the back, but if you have a fuller bust, it’s advisable to choose a bra with several hooks. This usually means the band is wider and provides better support, helping to avoid back problems and breast sagging.
It’s essential that the fastening doesn’t leave marks or dig into the skin, because otherwise you’ll feel uncomfortable the entire time you’re wearing it and will be counting the minutes until you can take it off.<\/p>\n
