Improves the mechanical problems of the joints, muscles and nerves
Chiropractic is a healing technique based on the manipulation of the skeleton structure, especially the vertebral column without using drugs or surgery.
The chiropractic, with a five-year University degree and a clinical internship, is specialized in the body’s locomotive system (bones, muscles, nerves, tendons and ligaments), evaluates the muscle, bones and nervous system problems, and determines how all of them affect the general health. Many types of joint pains are caused or worsen by inappropriate movements or lack of mobility in the joints (subluxations). The chiropractor corrects or improves the mechanical problems of joints, muscles and nerves.
The treatment is based on the use of specific manual techniques, massage and stretching, as well as giving advice about the right positions for the body and specific exercises to improve and restore the proper movement.
The first visit of assessment and diagnosis is essential and is based on radiology, orthopaedic and neurological analyses, as well as on special examination techniques to find the joints, muscles and nerves in your body that do not work correctly. Thus we arrive at a functional diagnosis that tells us where to adjust in order to have our body functioning properly again.
The treatment involves precise manual adjustments, putting pressure on the misaligned or hindered spine segments; or on those that do not move properly within their normal action range. The number of sessions will vary depending on the problem, but usually requires more than one session.
